Monday 29th June 2026 saw students, families and professionals come together for Daventry Hill School annual Careers and Transition Event, providing an excellent opportunity to explore the wide range of Post-16 and Post-18 pathways available across Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.
We love meeting employers from all different sectors, and providing opportunities for our learners to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for adulthood. Recently, a group of learners from Daventry Hill School had the exciting opportunity to visit Viridian Nutrition headquarters, where they took part in an engaging and interactive session focused on healthy living and nutrition.
Across Creating Tomorrow Trust, we are incredibly fortunate to work alongside a wide range of organisations that share our commitment to creating opportunities for young people with SEND. Among these valued partners is Amazon, whose ongoing support continues to make a meaningful difference across our trust.
Partnerships are at their strongest when they go beyond a single project or event, and that is exactly what we have experienced through our relationship with Amazon. Over time, their colleagues have supported learners through a variety of opportunities, helping to broaden horizons, build confidence and create memorable experiences that have a lasting impact.
What makes this partnership particularly special is the genuine interest Amazon's team takes in our learners and their futures. Whether supporting activities within school, providing insight into the world of work, or helping us bring ambitious projects to life, their involvement consistently demonstrates the power of industry and education working together.
More recently, Daventry Hill Learners got to visit Amazon to take part in their mental health awareness campaign.
"Students from Daventry Hill school were invited to a special petting zoo event at Amazon in Daventry, where they met exotic animals, engaged in nature activities and got a behind-the-scenes look at the fulfilment centre.
The animal menagerie experience was provided by The Phoenix Children’s Foundation, which provides fun-filled activities for children who live with disabilities, illness, or lack of opportunities. The charity hosts 22 acres of sensory gardens, and a collection of animals onsite.
The petting zoo at Amazon in Daventry featured animals like tortoises, rabbits, and donkeys."

Events like this remind us why community partnerships matter so much - we’re proud to open our doors and give local young people a day they’ll never forget.”
We are delighted to celebrate a significant achievement at Daventry Hill School, which has successfully achieved 100% of the Gatsby Benchmarks for careers education.
Providing meaningful work experience opportunities that allow learners to develop skills, build confidence and make valuable contributions within their local community is something we are incredibly proud of across Creating Tomorrow Trust.
An excellent example of this can be found at Isebrook School, where learner Rory recently completed a fantastic work experience project with Rushden Museum.
Work experience is at its best when learners are trusted with real responsibilities and given opportunities to make a genuine contribution. During his placement, Rory researched, wrote and helped curate an article about the history of Rushden Station, demonstrating not only his enthusiasm and commitment, but also a wide range of transferable skills.
