Building Confidence Through Storytelling and Performance

Learners from across Creating Tomorrow Trust recently had the exciting opportunity to take part in a series of engaging workshops, designed to develop confidence, communication and creativity.

We were delighted to welcome talented facilitators Nell and Dan from the National Youth Theatre, who brought with them a wealth of experience from their careers as actors and directors. Their passion, energy and expertise created an inspiring environment where learners felt encouraged to step outside their comfort zones and try something new.

Throughout the sessions, learners explored public speaking and storytelling skills, developing their ability to express themselves, share ideas and build their confidence in front of others. The workshops were interactive, inclusive and carefully adapted to ensure all learners could participate and succeed.

One of the most powerful aspects of the experience was seeing how quickly learners grew in confidence. In a relatively short space of time, many began to speak more openly, contribute ideas and engage more fully with the activities. It was truly rewarding to witness learners finding their voice and developing a sense of pride in their achievements.

Opportunities like this go far beyond the skills being taught. They support personal development, self-esteem and communication, all essential skills that help prepare learners for adulthood, relationships and the world of work.

A huge thank you to Nell and Dan for delivering such inspiring and impactful sessions, and to Ignite for supporting the organisation and making this opportunity possible for our learners and staff.

We are incredibly proud to be able to offer experiences like this through our trust and look forward to continuing to provide opportunities that help our learners grow in confidence, creativity and independence.
