Celebrating Collaboration, Community and Inclusion at the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards

At Creating Tomorrow Trust, we know that meaningful opportunities are created through people, partnerships and a shared commitment to making a difference. Whether we're working alongside employers, supporting our local communities or creating new opportunities for our learners, our aim is always the same: to help young people explore their potential, build confidence and discover what is possible for their future.

That's why we were incredibly proud to attend this year's Northamptonshire Logistics Awards, where Creating Tomorrow Trust was recognised across four award categories, including Project of the Year and partnership working.

Receiving this recognition means a great deal to us. Not because we seek awards, but because it reflects the power of collaboration and what can be achieved when education and industry come together with a shared purpose.

Partnerships That Change Lives

Over the past few years, we have been fortunate to work with some truly exceptional people and organisations within the logistics sector.

Our partnership work that was celebrated at the awards, highlighted the work we do with Amazon and Myton Foods. These opportunities have supported our learners to develop skills, gain valuable experiences and build confidence as they prepare for adulthood. Just as importantly, they have helped demonstrate the positive contribution young people with SEND can make when given the opportunity to thrive.

Relationships like these don't happen overnight. They are built on trust, openness and a genuine desire to create something meaningful together.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Katy at Amazon and to Helen, Kim and Helen at Myton Foods. Your enthusiasm, encouragement and willingness to work alongside us have played a huge part in making these opportunities possible for our learners.

We are also incredibly grateful to Sonia and Lawrence from Amazon, whose belief in our vision helped this partnership take its very first steps. Long before awards and recognition, they invested their time, energy and support into building something that has gone on to create lasting opportunities for our young people. We will never forget those who worked so hard behind the scenes at the beginning and helped lay the foundations for where we are today.

Stronger Together

One of the things we are most proud of at Creating Tomorrow Trust is the way our schools and college work together.

Across our Trust, teams are constantly finding new ways to connect learners with employers, engage with local communities and create experiences that help young people understand the world around them. From workplace visits and careers activities to community projects and work experience opportunities, every experience helps learners grow in confidence and discover their strengths.

These opportunities are about far more than future employment. They help learners develop communication skills, resilience, independence and a sense of belonging. They show young people that they have something valuable to contribute and that there is a place for them within their communities and workplaces.

None of this would be possible without the support of employers and partners who are willing to open their doors, challenge perceptions and champion inclusion.

Recognition That Means So Much

We were especially touched to receive nominations for this year's awards.

We still don't know who nominated us, but to whoever took the time to put our name forward, thank you. Knowing that someone has recognised the collective efforts of our learners, staff, employers and partners means more than we can say.

This recognition belongs to everyone who has been part of the journey.

Looking Ahead

It was a pleasure to celebrate alongside so many organisations and individuals who contribute to the success of the logistics sector. Congratulations to everyone recognised on the night, particularly Charlotte Patrick for her well-deserved achievements, and all the behind the scenes work and passion you bring to the sector.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to building partnerships that create opportunities, challenge expectations and support a more inclusive future.

Most importantly, we remain proud of our learners. Every achievement, every new experience and every step forward is a reminder of what can happen when people come together and believe in potential.

Because for us, it has never been about the award itself. It has always been about the people, the partnerships and the difference we can make together.
