Successful Transition Event at Daventry Hill School

Monday 29th June 2026 saw students, families and professionals come together for Daventry Hill School annual Careers and Transition Event, providing an excellent opportunity to explore the wide range of Post-16 and Post-18 pathways available across Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.

The event brought together an impressive range of educational, vocational and training providers, all committed to supporting young people as they plan for the next stage of their education, employment and independence. Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with colleges, specialist providers, apprenticeship organisations and supported employment services, gaining valuable insight into the diverse opportunities available throughout the region.

A particular highlight of the event was the willingness of providers to showcase not only their courses and programmes, but also their learning environments, facilities and support services. These conversations helped students and families build a clearer understanding of the settings available and the pathways that best match individual aspirations, interests and needs.

"It was  nice to meet parents of students and even offered them careers advice"

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the educational and vocational providers who attended and generously shared their expertise, knowledge and enthusiasm. Your commitment to supporting young people in making informed choices is greatly appreciated and helped make the event such a success.
