Wren Exploring New Possibilities at Tresham College

A group of learners from Wren Spinney School have been taking part in a series of exciting and insightful workshops at Tresham College in Kettering over the past term.

These sessions have provided learners with a fantastic opportunity to step into a new learning environment and explore a range of innovative technologies and facilities. During their visits, learners have experienced 3D printing, used virtual reality headsets, tested out robotics equipment, and explored the wider college setting.

For many of our learners, opportunities like this are incredibly valuable. They not only introduce new skills and areas of interest, but also help to spark curiosity, inspire creativity and build confidence in unfamiliar environments. Experiencing a further education setting first-hand can play an important role in helping learners begin to think about their future pathways beyond school.

It has been wonderful to see learners fully engage with the sessions, trying new activities and building connections with staff and the environment at Tresham College. These experiences help to broaden horizons and show learners what is possible, supporting them to feel more confident about the opportunities available to them.

We are delighted that this partnership is continuing, with another session planned soon. This ongoing engagement allows learners to build familiarity and confidence over time, making each visit even more meaningful.

A huge thank you to the staff at Tresham College for their warm welcome and continued support. Their willingness to open their doors and create accessible, engaging experiences has made a real difference to our learners.

We look forward to continuing this journey and seeing where these experiences lead next.
